Based in Deal in Kent, The Little Clay Co is our creative studio by the sea, built around the fun of making something with your own hands.
Come along, browse our beautiful collection of pottery and choose the piece you'd like to make your own. Once you've finished painting, we'll professionally glaze and kiln-fire your creation, ready for you to collect in around two weeks.
Whilst pottery painting will always be at the heart of what we do, it's only the beginning.
As The Little Clay Co. grows, we'll be introducing even more ways to get creative, from hand-building with clay and making your own polymer clay jewellery to seasonal workshops, bespoke events and plenty of other creative experiences along the way.
Whether you're popping in for a quiet afternoon, celebrating with loved ones, or simply looking to try something new, we can't wait to welcome you.
Paint Your Own Pottery
Whether you're discovering pottery painting for the first time or coming back to create another special keepsake, The Little Clay Co is a place to slow down, unwind, and enjoy getting creative.
Choose from our carefully chosen collection of pottery, browse our little treasure trove of paints, tools, and inspiration, and make something that's completely your own. Whether you have a design in mind or you're just seeing where your creativity takes you, we're here to help.
With easy to follow instructions and a range of stamps, stencils and tools to help. Pottery painting is for everyone.
Once you've finished painting, we'll professionally glaze and kiln-fire your piece, ready for you to collect in around two weeks.
Whether you're spending time with family, catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion or planning a team event. Locals and visitors alike will find a warm, relaxed space to create something they'll treasure.
To secure your place, we ask for a £5 booking fee per person when you book your session.
The lovely bit? Your £5 comes off the pottery you choose to paint on the day, so it isn't an extra charge.
The booking fee is non-refundable and is linked to the person who made the booking. If someone in your group decides not to paint a piece, their £5 can't be transferred to another person or taken off someone else's pottery.
We hope this keeps things simple and fair for everyone, while helping us prepare your creative space ready for your visit.

With options for both reserved tables and exclusive private hire, you can enjoy the space with the people who matter the most.

Opening Hours
Whilst we settle in to our studio and continue building our workshop and lesson plans, we are open for pottery painting on the following days:
Friday | 10:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday | 10:00am – 6:00pm
Sundays | 11:00am – 4:00pm
To make sure you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy your painting experience, we ask that your visit begins no later than 90 minutes before closing.
As we're a small independent studio, our opening days may occasionally vary for private events, workshops or holidays. We always recommend checking our booking calendar or getting in touch before making a special journey.
Looking for an evening visit, a larger group booking, or something a little different? We'd love to hear from you—just get in touch and we'll do our best to help.
